About Us
Welcome
We're Elwin & Yvette
Welcome to Casa Montecastelli! We're Elwin and Yvette, and together with our children Olivier, Pepijn, Fiene and Cato, we made a life-changing decision: in September 2024, we packed up everything and moved to Umbria — a region in the heart of Italy that had captured our hearts long before we ever called it home.
After years of dreaming, planning, and a healthy dose of courage, we took the leap and opened our holiday apartments here in the rolling hills of central Italy. Umbria, with its medieval hilltop villages, golden landscapes and centuries of history, felt like the only place in the world where we wanted to build something new — not just for our family, but for guests from around the world.
As a family, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, personal atmosphere — the kind where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

Our Philosophy
More Than a Place to Sleep
At Casa Montecastelli, we want to offer you more than just a place to sleep. We want you to experience Umbria the way we do: slowly, warmly, and with a glass of local wine in hand.
Whether you're here for a peaceful retreat in nature, a culinary adventure through truffle country, or a deep dive into Italy's lesser-known cultural treasures, our apartments are your home base for all of it.
We'd love to have you stay with us. However you choose to spend your time here, we're confident Umbria will leave its mark on you — just as it did on us.
